Merova Studios exists to find out how things really work under the hood — and the only honest way to find out is to build them. Game engines, rendering pipelines, physics, terrain simulation, the editor used to make all of it: written from the ground up, in-house.
Years of that became REACT, a proprietary engine that grows whole planets from plate tectonics and lights hand-built story scenes with the same code. The engine is the studio's foundation, not its product. It is not for sale and never will be. What releases here are the games made with it.
The documentation on this site exists for the same reason the engine does: if you cannot explain a system with a couple of equations and an honest graph, you do not understand it yet.
How the studio works
No licensed engine, no middleware doing the interesting parts. If a system matters to the games, it gets written here, understood here, and owned here.
Every system gets a write-up with the physics, the algorithms and measured numbers. Partly for others, mostly because explaining a thing is the test of understanding it.
No content race, no announced dates that turn into apologies. The bet is depth: simulation and lighting that bigger teams will not risk, on an honest timeline.
